I am trying to edit the lightning bolt projectile to be a different colour. I have been able to edit the colour in the effect editor from the existing animation and have saved it under a new name. I then compile and save the effect and attempt to add it to the resource manager. When I attempt to add a resource there is no file to select for the new effect. I have made a new folder and package but am not sure what to do. Does the effect have a new file type once it's compiled?

after saving and compiling it should make a new filetype in your mods public assets folder. im not sure if the wizard defaults there which is probably why you arent seeing it.
