Barricade problem

Hi, first play this game and pretty disappointed, i constructing barricades and melee NPC cant do it anything, they are not moving... Why they are cant destroy objects ? I just kill them with an Archer. Can developers fix this ?

Unfortunately, an update to the enemy AI at this point is unlikely.
