they specifically stated that this is just for fun and the story is unrealted to BG3

essentialy they are working at brand recognition, tying Larian to the IP to dip into both pools.
its smart from a marketing standpoint

Man, since the confirmation that this title even existed it's almost baffling how stingy of any real information Larian has been.
They went through E3, Gamescom and PAX with literally nothing to show or confirm about its structure, making their public apparitions rather awkward for how pointless and inconstant they felt.

It makes almost the impression that the reveal itself was some sort of premature ejaculation and they have very little to say about it in the first place.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

Blame Google they probably wanted to show their exclusive RPG Baldurs gate 3 for the Stadia announcement.

But they have plenty to say about the modules of WOTC, like BG: descent into Avernus (that came this month) or the excellences of Google stadia in the interviews about BG3 wink

Baldurs Gate 3 was announced at the Google Stadia stream at E3 in June. It's one the very few console exclusives they have. It's obvious thát they have decided that BG3 should be announced years before release.

Pretty simple... They saw how many fans didn't want TB, realized they did not want to lose thousands of pre-order sales, and are now scrambling to add RTwP.

Or.... they could have read this forum and realized the exact opposite, and are currently adding a TB mode to make more people happy.

Either way, it doesn't really matter. The most important things they need to deliver on is to make sure BG3 possesses what you posted about in the other thread... that it has the same sheer size, scope and variety of what made Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 outstanding classics.

Thanks for the laugh I needed that. smile Nah Swen isn't the type who cares about what people want. He will not waste resources trying to make everyone happy instead he will do everything to make exactly the game he wants to play.

Let's keep the TB-or-not discussion in its own pinned topic, please.

Now we know why Larian does not give more info, It is not that they do not want to, It´s because Mike Mearls always rolls a natural one.

OK, maybe Sven doesn't, but you think WOTC doesn't care about pre-order sales?
