I have a suspicion that the "red ink in the ledger" quest is broken for me.

I found Garvan's missing supplies and the questlog acknowledges this:


However, when I go talk with Garvan in the tavern, I only get the option to buy him stew:


I tried buying him the stew again, but this option brings nothing relevant to the quest (saying he doesn't need any more stew). Is this quest broken or am I missing something?

If you are playing on PC, please email supportdos2@larian.com with your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc), and if available one before starting that quest. If you are using any non-Larian mods, also include a list of those enabled and/or the modsettings.lsx file from your profile folder.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder' (and similarly in OSX/Finder).

So did you talk to anyone where the goods were found?

I agree with @LostSoul. The quest isn't over. (It had me stumped for awhile too!)
