Larian Studios Forums General Chat RPG Chat Hey, anyone from Interplay forum?

Well, I'm not overly upset (I *heart* Mistress' Lair now) but, if you were there, you'd know what happened to the community forums (general gaming discussion, Ye Olde Pages, the Arts, et all). There's only one word I can say to this:

Wow.

I mean, wow. As they say in the forum feedback section over there, what's IPlay thinking? I thought I've seen the worst when they close down the FOBOS forum, but really!

Hey winterfox! It's MsAnnThrope from the Interplay forums. Yep, I'm pretty upset about it, but I decided to just expand my horizons a bit and come to the friendly and rockin Larian forums. I kind of wanted a little space from YoP anyway. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

why did they do it?

Good to see you here Fox. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> I didn't know you liked DD, but hey it's an excellent game.

As for why they shut down the community at the Interplay forum, my first guess is money (not bandwidth probably, but server capacity), second guess is they just don't care about their fanbase (or their opinions), and third guess is that it got to be too much of a hassle for them (someone posted something jokingly and threatened to kill Prez GWB, plus the forums were often "off-topic" and whatnot). Anyway, it's all a big mystery to most people, so who knows really why they shut it down.
