I thought the last patch for Divine would have stopped the duplication ability for stackable items, but they didn't yet.

Just mentioning that it is something to be worked on in the next patch (if one is made, of course).

I'm not gonna say I've never used it: don't tell anyone , but I duplicated the two healing potions to cure the sick people in the quarentined area (so instead of 2, I had like... more than 1000). That way I could heal all three possible victims! I couldn't help it! But its the only time I've used it, I swear . No, no seriously though. I'll screw around a little but I'm no big-time cheater (if I was a big-time cheater, than why would I be suggesting that Larian Studios should get rid of the duplication glitch? ).

So, it was fun and all, but it's unnessesary and too many people will take advantage of it (I bet it's in every walkthrough out there, maybe even in these forums - hahaha ).

Yea, so, thats it.

Reminds me a little of a broken quest in Fallout 2. You were supposed to fix a computer, if you did and talked to the right person you got... I don't know, some 2500 exp and two books. If you fixed it again and talked to the right person, you got 2500 exp and two books. f you fixed it again and talked to the right person, you got 2500 exp and two books. And if you fixed it again you got... etc. I was like lvl 35 when I finnished that game (I even had slayer just to be able to finnish the fightingquest in San Fran easier...).

I haven't played Fallout 2, but I guess it is a somewhat related situation.

Is Fallout 2 a good game? What kind? I could go check it out for myself... but forum conversations are funner .

The main biggie thing in Divine is that you can massively multiply money, potions, food, statues, etcetera. Anything that stacks into a pile.

P.S.: I said that last paragraph just for the sake of staying on topic a bit .

Well about that quest....what you can do is this: Spoiler : Cure two of the patients....get the pickpocket skill...either by armour having the skill or having a skill point in it already and then attempt to pickpocket the guy you gave the potion to.

Now that I got that out of my system, yes that is a good legitamate way to do it, but it is very mean. You are a bad person. Tut tut tut...

You think that's bad? The other way to get a potion back is to Spoiler : kill a cured person, causing them to drop it. There is no loss of Reputation for doing this.

This quest was originally designed so that you would have to choose who to save and who to leave sick (and perhaps die). Someone in the German forum discovered the Pickpocket and killing exploits to get a cure potion back.

If you say so bud... . Just kidding , well I guess the German guy deserves the blame for being sick minded... not that I'm not. In games that let you choose a moral alignment, I always choose bad. It just feels good to be bad sometimes .

Also, I stole from the sellers in Divine when they were out of the main room.

*gasp*

Not to mention I picked a fight with a few drunks...

...and thats just the start...

KJillerzzz(zz, or whatever, don't know if the exact amout of z's is that importaant ), Fallout 1 and 2 are great games ! You should really try them out, if you like RPG's. The cons are (I don't think these are cons, but still), it's set in the future USA, not in a fantasy world (like DD, Diablo etc), and it can be a bit slow if you're used to games like Diablo etc. Apart from that, they're great fun. Try them out if you get the chance! DO IT!!! Erm...

Nike!

Just so y'all know.

Ah, yes. I will try out Fallout if I get the chance.

By the way, the number of 'z's does matter a bit to me. My original ALIAS was KillerZ (the first one to use that on BattleNet of Blizzard Entertainment ), but some glitch happened (remember this was very early in the BattleNet) and my account got deleted (yet I still couldn't remake it). So then I thought "I could call myself Killerzz, but two 'z's just doesn't seem strong; three 'z's on the onther hand gives that triangular trinity effect. I shall be called... Killerzzz!

Wow, that sounded so wise.

P.S.: Don't even send a 'sorry' post, 'caus I'm not at all insulted.

P.S.S.: The triangle is known to be the strongest of shapes (FYI).

You can find them both on thepiratebay.org (this MIGHT be the Swedish verision of the site by the way, forgot to check ). All you need is a program to download them with. I don't know how pissed interpool will be if you do it either, I got the first from a friend who got it as the game of the month in PC-gamer, and the second from the same friend, this too the game of the month.

It's a known bug, but why stop poeple from cheating? it's a single player game, ppl can cheat as much as they wish. Fixing the bug would be a good thing but not a priority.
Posted By: killerzzz Re: Massive Duplication - 09/06/05 12:23 PM
Oh, yes. Of course it's not a priority. I just like to point out the obvious. Just speaking my opinion that it is an eventuality that such a little thing should be taken care of. I'm not expecting that there should be a whole new patch just for that though.

Nah, its a circle (2D world) or a sphere (3d world)
Posted By: Shagrath Re: Massive Duplication - 08/07/05 10:59 PM
I played Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, and I enjoyed them all (especially 2 and Tactics... 2 because it was good, Tactics because it was something totally new :d)
Every RPG-player should have played these (I'd say try Fallout 2, and if you like it, try the others as well.)

Well, every 3D object is built out of triangles, because it's the simplest 2D figure. So I don't know if you can really tell what's the strongest, it depends on the situation, how they're placed. For example, an arch...

Um.... can anyone tell me (or PM me) about this bug/glitch/cheat??
I'm not planning on using it, but it does sound interesting ^^

To copy an item; quick save the game, then drag an item out of your inventory, but not somewhere there is a red X. Without dropping first, quick load the game, then release the mouse button when it starts to load. This will produce a copy of the item on the ground, with the original still in your inventory.

There is a much easier method for items which can be stacked;
Drag a stack out of (or into) your inventory (or container) and hold down the control key before dropping. This will bring up the split stack pane; type in a negative number and hit enter (the checkmark will be greyed out). This can also be done in the trade window.

Cool... remembers me of the diablo dupe method (diablo 1 that is). Where you could dupe gold with a method similiar to the first method you mentioned. What I was wondering about: does it also work with pyramids??? Probably not I gues ^^
Posted By: Raze Re: Massive Duplication - 09/07/05 08:43 PM
[color:"orange"]does it also work with pyramids???[/color]

The quicksave trick may work with teleporter stones, but that wouldn't help with your lost one. The teleporter stones are not identical. The first time I recommended the inventory file swap to get back lost teleporter stones I tested that it would work. The game doesn't have any problem using 2 sets of teleporters. If you call the teleporters of each set A and B, then whichever teleporter you moved last becomes the active teleporter of each type. If you have A1 on the ground, then drop A2, that teleporter becomes dominant. Drop B1 and B2 on the ground, and clicking on either will bring you to A2. If you dropped B2 second, then clicking on either A1 or A2 will teleport you to B2. Confused yet?

You could probably duplicate the teleporter stone, but both would still try to send you to the missing one.
