In my current playthrough, Shadowheart died when she got knocked off a cliff in the Underdark, so I could not resurrect her immediately. I noticed her Mysterious Artifact on the ground, picked it up and examined it, before returning to camp and asking Withers to resurrect Shadowheart.

When I talked to her, there was no dialogue choice to mention that my character has the artifact and that it seems to be bound to her now, and Shadowheart doesn't mention it either.

I tried to use the artifact again outside the camp, with Shadowheart in my group. Astarion and Wyll both reacted to the situation, but not Shadowheart. Since she risked her life for this artifact, I would have expected a comment when it suddenly changes its owner

I have never encountered this situation before, so I do not know if it is a bug that a dialogue/interaction with Shadowheart is missing.

Does anybody know if there usually is a dialogue?

I certainly have seen some dialogue ...
Shadow was kinda panicking and searching for the item ... but it was only when she died i looted it from her corpse and then i ressurected her using a scroll. O_o

There's some strangeness going on for sure.

Had a situation when Shadowheart got killed in battle, and I revived her right away. At the time I didn't think to check if she was still bonded to the artifact, but it stayed in her inventory. After the next long rest however, a cutscene played where my character found the artifact in her own belongings. The cutscene made it seem like she had no idea what the artifact was despite already seeing it in action at the goblin camp. All the while the alive Shadowheart stood beside her without saying anything. Quite awkward.

It's probably just unfinished content. A lot of companion interactions are bugged in one way or another right now.

There is specific dialogue for when the artifact is in the player's possession, so I think it's a bug if you don't have it. I've had a similar situation (SH thrown off a cliff in Underdark, box moved to my character's inventory) and my character could chat with SH about it.

In general I've had several bugs with dialogue triggers, and I wonder whether it is because Larian is witholding some act 1 content from EA, so likely some dialogues are lacking content. For example I suspect Lae'zel and Shadowheart will fight over the artifact.

Thank you all for your feedback! I also suspected it is a bug. I think I will reload the save before Shadowheart's death, luckily, I saved a few minutes before she got killed.
