Hello, Larian!

BCZ mages have much more instruments than fighters, how about to crate some cool stuff with sussur flower like anti-mage arrows?

+1 cool idea.
Recently started the IWD expansions EE and i actually enjoyed the weird arrows I found such as the arrow that summons a goblin.

I dont like it honestly ...
Imagine that once you invent something, there is fair chance that certain NPCs will get it too, and have fully disabled caster on range seems extremely OP ...

Sussur meele weapons should be enough in my opinion, they are fully capable to completely disable spellcasting (if you have right stats) and reaching your target within single (2 at worst) turn is barely a problem. :-/

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown

Maybe not 'fully disabling' casting but more of an increased casting failure or making concentration impossible ? Don't know if that's something in 5e, I only know DnD from its infinity games adaptation laugh

I'm thinking more of stealth, ambush, preemptive attack by a ranged martial 'sniper' class (rogue, ranger, ...), allowing them to subtly disable enemy spell casters from a distance/while hiding. Perhaps more a kind of unnoticed 'blowpipe dart/non physically damaging' kind of ammunition that goes unnoticed until they attempt to cast a spell when the attack begins...

e.g. 'arrows of miscast magic' , or something to the effect of 'arrows of attention deficit disorder' laugh

- when hit, characters have an 80% (50% on successful save) chance of casting failure for spells that require concentration for 1turn/caster level.

It could create an area where noone could use magic. So you'll have to use it more carefully and you always can go out of it

Actually BG1 and BG2 has an anti-mages arrows like "Arrow of dispell" and "Arrow of antimagic". So i don't think it would be OP to add in BG3
