To start with, this isn't really a technical suggestion, as it doesn't have to do with mechanics. But in the future I'd like to hear/see the companions actually liking/being friends with somebody in the party who isn't the player character. We do have some snark as they become familiar with one another, and that's fun, but over time I'd like lines of dialogue that suggest something a little deeper than the vague familiarity of acquaintances. Maybe we could even see some little interactions at camp - like Gale and Wyll discussing magic, etc. I just think it would add a lot in terms of character development.

Yeah that woule be awesome... It would make them feel so much more alive, and not like lost puppies vying for the attention of the PC!

I love games that do this. It's unrealistic for the main character to hook up with someone (where there are lots of choices that you, the player, know about) but yet the others don't even make friends with each other. Especially in games where there are 15+ people at camp/fortress.

I don't expect everyone to hook up with each other by any means. Just that there are good and ill feelings developing between party members.

Lae'Zel may never make friends but Gale? Gale seems to be so friendly that he should hit it off with SOMEONE. I think he'd get along with another mage, or possibly someone really friendly and chatty like Volo.

I hope some of our companions will start dating, if we dont pick them ...

Right now the situation is everyone wants Tav and nobody wants anyone else ...

It would be much better if they would make some relations, that we would overwrite if we pick someone.
For example i can quite imagine Wyll trying to hit on Karlach.
As you said Shadow might be interested in Gale ... and he also seem to notice her when we first met.

That and obviously some reactions on the fact that we have something goin on with our companions would be much appreciated.
I mean i dont really want to turn this into any dating simulator or w/e but simply allow our characters to move their bedrols so they sleep together ... or allow us to kiss our partner when roaming the world (oh i can allready imagine all those Barbarians kissing Karlach between 20 massacred goblins, still dirty of their blood ... ehm ), or give there small chance that our companions will coment that they would appreciate if we would be more quiet next night, bcs they are trying to sleep ...
Just tidbits like that. Sure, fully animated banging scene is fun, but kinda toothless if that is all we get. :-/

You seem to forget that if Lae'zel and Wyll or Astarion are not going to have it with Tav, Lae'zel will have it with one of them.

This sounds like a great idea. Not anything game-changing but it would certainly help make the world feel more alive around you, at least in your own personal one.
