I am sick and tired of Gribbo speaking to me as though I am her equal or her underling. While playing a female Drow Cleric, I should not be addressed in such a tone when I give Volo my rapt attention in the Goblin camp. Her dialogue needs to be consistent with those of her peers: in a tone of respect for highborn Drow and their companions. Fix it Larian!! Otherwise good job. I love playing with barbies.

In the same tone ...
Everyone else except goblins should talk to us with clear despise and suspicion ...

I get it that Arabellas mother is desperate, but did you realized that she just entrusted the fate of her only(?) child to a FREAKING DROW???!

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Arabella's mother is a Tiefling. She knows better than to discriminate against people based upon their race. Her bloodline is literally infernal.

I'm not sure what playing with barbies has to do with anything, but I enjoy painting Warhammer 40k figures on occasion. Good on you not being ashamed of your hobby!

You'd think. But most npcs get over it real quick when playing as a drow or gith should be akin to playing a nosferatu in the VTM: Bloodlines game from Troika.

For an example of how weird it is how fast npcs move past it (if they notice at all) If you punch Zevlor and choose aggressive options he'll act super aggressive and racist towards you as a drow.....and then immediately brush it off and tell you that he'll get the word out that you are a good guy and he'll tell everyone to treat you like a normal person. Like Larian really wanted to preclude the very obvious possibility that you'd logically not be welcome in the grove if you pulled that as a drow and so just brushed it off.

It's better than a lot of games in regard to recognizing the character is a drow (NWN2 and IWD2 barely mattered at all), and it has gotten better in a few instances, like where the flaming fist naturally freak out when approached by a drow where they didn't before. But it still gets a bit nonsensical. Getting warned by a companion about getting intimate with Minthara is a bit funny as a drow, and Halsin doesn't seem to acknowledge the player being one despite knowing the drow are involved in the mindflayer business he's trying to put a stop to. To name a few.

Honestly most NPCs get over you being Nosferatu also far too quick in my taste ...
I mean sure, they keep comenting how discuisting you are, and the smell, and skin and i dont know how to call it ... face i gues. laugh
But still they are totally willing to work with you ... VV eventualy tells you almost all her secrets (especialy Hatter one), Isac is helping you as he can (even tho for him it do makes sense, he i working often with them), Patty for some totally unknown reason believes that her Sire would know you (i mean i know she is desperate, but come on), Jezebell is trying to seduce you (ugh), etc. laugh

Thats bcs Developers rarely have balls to actualy cut player out of some content. :-/

The funny part is that this doesnt even need to be the case ...
You can see it as chance to on the contrary add some content.
Lets take VV as example ... imagine:
- She refuses to talk with you, nor even stand your presence and leave to her VIP salon ... doors shut and locked.
- Some time later, when you talk to Isac, you have option to tell him something like "You seem much more friendly than the other toreador i met today." ... he reply something like "Ah, so you have seen VV? Dont take it too personaly, she is probably on edge bcs of that hunter that is following her."
And voila! You have exactly same quest, with completely different approach while keeping the integrity of your clan intact. smile

Same here ...
Even tho i cant quite imagine how, or why would Alfira ask a DROW to help her compose a balad. laugh
The example with Arabellas parets is quite easy ... mother would say something like she would never thrust life of her child to just another evil ... then you leave, and her father rush towards you beging ... later, if Arabela is saved, her mother apology to you that she judged you too quickly.

Things like that can make the Race choice feel like its actualy impactfull ...
While it really isnt. laugh
