I have read many interesting points of view on the new weapons/armor/items etc that have been released and items already released since Patch 1, looking at you Magic Missile necklace, and a general census is of to many magical items available.

Is it possible that all these new/old items are just being implemented in EA Act 1 to be tested and when the game is released that we wont be inundated with all these items in Act 1 ?

That's a potential, but no real evidence to support.

I hope they are just test items, as I would prefer to see a handful of items to suit different classes implemented not a Smorgasbord of Ill use this item for this fight then swap for this one etc , tho I can see the benefits of being able to do that also...
Anyways I just hope there is only a few items and not 30

I think that's true with Patch 7 items moreso than any of the other patches. There wasn't as much of a consistent theme before. Seems these were mostly put in to test the Lightning/Momentum/Wrath mechanics. With such goofy names, I don't think they're permanent.

Hmmm I don’t know, goofy is a lynchpin of Larian’s ethos it would seem.

Personaly im happy we have finaly get some dedicated equipment ...
Hope other classes get some love aswell. :P
