How could you say "no" to those eyes?

Wholeheartedly agree. What’s the point of having quarterstaffs with combat utility at the moment (like the ensnaring one), when it is never going to be used because there are so many better 2H weapons? If we could use it one-handed it would be a lot more appealing.

Also, we should be able to rock a staff and sword like Gandalf if we want to

Im quite honestly looking forward to use Nature's Snare with Monk ... i believe it should be quite powerfull combination. :3

What bugs me is Paleoak ...
I mean it is suppose to be weapon especialy created for Druid ... druids can use shields ... is that even reward if it means i HAVE TO loose 2AC to wear it? :-/
Also ... they should have make it a club there is only one magic club in game as far as i know ... or even better make active spell on the staff to shorten to club ... and on the club to grow back to staff size.

+1 for the OP's suggestion. It would open lots of additional combinations for Druids and Clerics who usually wear a shield and just more variations for gearing our characters.

Definitely +1. Quarterstaves have often been useless in DnD video games imho.

If they become versatile some of them could become very usefull and we would have more possibilities to build our characters.

But i just thought, since we now have 2 Community Managers ... maybe one of them could bring some clarity into this decision? O_o

You know just regular stuff ... like if decision to make quarterstaves(?) strictly Two-Handed is set in stone and nobody except Swen himself can change it. O:)

If they don't make them versatile, then Monks won't be able to wield them. Monk Weapons cannot be two-handed. A Monk without a Quarterstaff???

i assume Monk will get a staffmace like they had in BG1 & 2 but who knows maybe they just shub targets with their mind now
