Lae'Zel & Shadowheart are Encumbered
Every time I try to play the game makes Lae'Zel & Shadowheart Heavily Encumbered and I can't get passed the Mindflayer ship. When logging in it keeps telling I have a corrupt file. I have cleared the Mod folder and checked the status of the game on Steam, but nothing fixes it.

Also, it will not let me rotate or zoom in the character on the character create screens. It just recently let me do it once. IDK what's up with that.

you may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game... but if it is a corrupt save file that playthrough may be lost

Yea, I un-installed and re-installed twice and nothing works.

So how long dose it take Larian to respond to these problems?

If I don't get a fix on this soon, I'm going to ask for a refund from Steam and play something else.

Larian very rarely respond to problems here's (it's mostly other players who will assist you); have you raised an official bug report? Also as you are the only player I have heard of with this problem, it may be very hard for them to find out what is wrong without additional information – if you raise an official bug report they will likely ask for more info or file dumps.

My 2 cents worth of help: Have you used mods if so please try deleting them and when you uninstalled the game did you go into all the other places saved games etc are kept and manually deleted them? If not Google how to remove saves, profiles etc.

Hello. I've encountered the same problem, and matter of fact keep encountering it sometimes when I start a new game. The first time this happened was 3 days ago when I installed the expanded warlock mod, encumberance comes in the form of all medium armour in the game being 3000kg.

I've deleted and reinstalled the mod and it got fixed. I have no idea if it's an actual bug of the game. Do you have mods installed ?

It's a constant problem for me. I'm going to try and get a refunsd because the game has been buggy and unfinished for WAY to long.

Dude, you even said your self you installed Mods... As a person who doesn;t use mods of any sort (because I am worried it will screw up the game) ever thought it might be the mod? I mean mods do things to the game that the game was not designed for thus the problem could lie in the mod and at this point uninstalling the mod may not help THAT particular save file as it may be corrupted.

IMHO Modding the game then getting upset that something doesn't work right is pretty stupid (Sorry not sorry)... YOU did something to the programing to try and make the game do something it wasn't designed to do...

That said good luck getting a refund... just a tip I wouldn't mention to steam that used mods on the game.

I'm having the same problem. I took a year long break because of the bugs (Patch 4 was the last time I played), and the moment I try to get back in it, I hit a major game-breaking bug. It seems like Patch 7 broke mods regarding equipment wholesale. Even playing without any mods I still have the over encumbrance bug. Ignore the above user regarding mods. Steam will refund your game no questions asked, so long as it falls within the 14 day, less than two hour period. Good luck, some of us are unfortunately stuck with the game.
