When playing multiplayer, I would like the option to auto join any npc conversations that other players start and have the option to disagree/make diffrent choices to the person im playing with.
As not to miss out on dialogue, someone may have rushed ahead with

And I know it's been said before but I also still really want to be able to switch which character is responding in dialogue. Start with MC, but switch to Astarion or Wyll, etc. Or other player,

started a new group with my friends and we often miss out on entire dialogues because someone randomly triggers something by accident and by the time we're all there to click the ear button the conversation is over. also why do you have a characters button in the lower left corner if you cannot swap the character in a conversation (to go for the optimal outcome in a group)?

THIS so much. Not that concerned personally with what OP mentioned as I tend to be on discord when playing. If the conversation ends up being important the other person will eventually call me lol.

Not entirely sure how to implement it... Maybe just a separate button "switch character" somewhere on the side of the screen? Nothing fancy.
At least at the start of the dialogue. Once it started I imagine it might be a bit harder to do that.

Alt+ left click in the inventory on an item while the camp stash is opened transfers the item there. Make it a reality.

And either character switching or ability/skill check help would be really appreciated, both in MP and SP;

I believe the ability skill check help already exists. If I play a cleric I can listen to my teammate's conversation and use guidance to boost his check during the dice throw.

Edit: NVM, I think you mean for passive abilities of more proficient characters to be used. That would make sense in most scenarios.

The dialogue should at least be audible before joining the "cinematic experience", instead of just seeing a dialogue box overhead.

I agree it's a huge detriment to multiplayer when you miss dialogue or are unable to participate in it, or unable offer your PC's expertise in things that require skill checks. And the latter even applies to single player.

We definitely need this. Me and my friend are constantly hitting dialogues while the other is busy looting or something.

It'd also be nice if the other players could interject in the conversation. Even if it's just small quips or commentary on what is going on the way the NPCs sometimes do.
