Why can't I scroll forward? Why can't I raise my mouse and go see enemies in front of me?

I wasn't close enough when combat started and now I can't scroll up to see enemies, although other party members can scroll up and see enemies. I positioned myself up close to the door, but AI decided my decision to position myself closer to door is invalid and combat started when AI decided to move away from doors. Fuck this

combat starts when the enermy becomes aware of you so; if they see you, they hear you or you set that oil they are standing next to on fire... from your cripit discripion it sounds like the other side of the door is dark because you have not scouted it yet so you don't have anyway to know whats on the other side until you send in a mage hand, raven or cat [invisible] to find that oil drum

Best thing you an do is to preserve some screenshots of the discrepancy, and submit it too Larian's formal bug form with as much detail about what you did and what happened as you can - the combat log and combat initiation system in general are still very buggy and temperamental, and while many of the issues have been reported many times, sending more to them directly can only help at this stage.
