Hello everyone.
I was on one stream, people in the chat asked if there was a bayan (accordion) in the bg3 game? I have a suggestion to introduce this tool for gnomes, and for dwarves, let's say add a bagpipe.
The difference is that the gnomes have a small lung volume and they came up with accordions to play on it. And the dwarves considered it envy because they have an analogue in the form of bagpipes.

Please don't criticize too much, but I was trying to come up with a reason to add itt. =)

The thing with more instruments is: they require new animations.

I'd prefer if they added a few more songs and reduced of some of the instruments somewhat. The lute and the flute are massive...

I wouldn't mind if more instruments were added, but I would really like the opportunity to play a non-musician Bard, as described in the linked thread. That means

  • In the Character Creation screen, add another starting "instrument" option : None/Voice.

  • In the Perform action, add Performances that are non-musical, such as story-telling or reciting poetry. Or dancing, juggling, prestidigitation tricks, etc.

An instrument that's missing would be just like a simple horn, Boromir style, could maybe work for a Bard that isn't just like a performing minstrel. Another idea might be a rattle, like made from a rattlesnake or something, that might be used in storytelling. Again for something that isn't just like a musician but maybe more adaptive.

I would love this ...
Not sure tho, how would juggler cast spells ... O_o

I mean, musician Bards play their instrument as a weapon in Lindsey Stirling style (like here ... this is pure BG-3 Bard style imho) what animation would juggler, dancer, or recitator do?

I can imagine Michael Flatley casting moves as dancer ... ( O:) )
Recitatior, well there are certainly some gestures that could serve the purpose ...
Not sure about the rest tho. laugh
