If I have 10 potions in the Hero's inventory, how can I give 5 of them to the Dark Knight? I read about using the CTRL key, but that doesn't seem to work when giving it to the other character. Is the only way to do it to use the CTRL key to drop some of the stack on the ground, then have the Dark Knight pick them up?
Thanks for all replies.

unless its a problem with weight you don't really need to. Both characters can use each others potions by clicking the potion icon next to their portrait.

If you give some of each potion to each character the potions will all wind up in the leading characters inventory when you use one.

For almost all items in the game, it doesn't matter who carries them. The inventories are treated as one when you use potions, plants, quest items, keys, etc. The Crystal Bag is really the only character-specific item.

Here's a seperate question but pertaining to the same subject. Isn't there a hot key for potions or maybe a quick bar? The only reason I ever die (and I die a lot, still in dungeon) is that I have to fumble around with the mouse and the dang potion icons to get them to drink a potion. Usually by the time I click the character's potion icon and then click the potion itself, I am dead already. BTW, most of the dungeon is ok but the bosses are way too difficult for the newb characters.

Use the spacebar to 'pause' the game, click on a potion, unpause and they drink the potion.

Thanks. That help a bit but now I am at a point that I can not get past and there are no more health potions. I went back to the beginning to see if I missed any. I suppose that I will have to start over again and figure out a way to conserve health potions. =(
So far, compared to Divine Divinity, BD goes beyond sucking. At least in DD you could get health potions one way or another. Also, this game is very linear and I hate Linear games.

nero, you can utilize the function keys (exampe: F7) to control the drinking of potions (among other things). open the potion icons and hover your mouse cursor over a potion. press a function key. that potion is now designated as that particular F key. note this only works for the 'lead' character, and that some F keys are already designated.

Dude, If you can't find any potions use the battlefield option. They got a bunch of people their that will sell potions to you and armor. Not to mention there is weak monsters their that you can use to lvl up. The first battlefield key is "Inside a locked chest in the prison area where you start the game. The key to this chest is found inside the arena on the Prison level. Or it is just sitting out there in the open in the room immediately after exiting the Maze level". Quote from GameFaqs.com. I am getting the hang of it now. I do like the voices in the game (except for your partner's voice, kinda dumb) but most of the other dialog is very funny. I like the group of soldiers talking in the citadel. One soldier is complaining about his feet and then takes his boot off and grosses out the other soldiers. LOL! Good dialog.
