So, uh, new to patch 8, starting with the festival with the teiflings after you kill the Goblin leaders . . . Gale is just . . . gone? Wyll is still there, and everyone in my party (Lae'zel, Asterion, Shadowheart, and my main character, a bard) but Gale is just . . . nowhere to be found. Not in the wilderness camp, or any other camps. There was no dialog with him, he didn't even ask to eat any artifacts yet, he was just . . . gone.

Anyone else have this problem? Did I accidentally do something wrong? Should I submit this under Feedback to Larion Studios, or is this my doing?

I'm having this exact problem except with Shadowheart. I am playing with my brother and sister in law and Shadowheart is nowhere to be found, and we need her to go to the next zone.

So yes? Put this up as feedback to Larian?

Have you tried breath-savers?

It may be a new mechanic...if you don't have enough influence by that time, they move on.

It sure would be nice to get feedback from the developers.

Turns out that this is a developing bug to Larion, there is another thread about it where people talk about multiple companions up and leaving. Most of the time they are 'stuck' in one of the other camps (like the underdark camp or the ruins camp), but for me Gale is just plain gone.

They just don't appreciate everything we do for them.

Same here, Gale just gone grom camp and I cant find him >_<

Anyone experiencing this should ideally submit it as a bug report to their bug reporting form (https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3#modal), which is separate from the general feedback form. If/when you do, include your save file with the report (they prefer you to submit the whole folder content - so both the save file, and its accompanying thumbnail image), as that's helpful for them to examine to track down the cause of the issue.

Hey! Gale is back! Looks like it was fixed in the latest hotfix! Sadly my tiefling bard didn't get to sleep with him. Too bad to, he looks good in Lae'Zel's half plate, pulls it off better than her I say.
