Whoever fixed the appearance of the "wolves" in this game is a hero. just some feedback/concerns after 100's of hours of gameplay
- First and Main concern is the "Map". It looks good, but it's almost useless & causes a lot of stress with almost every new player that I've played multiplayer with. It's never really bothered me personally because I already have every step of act 1 memorized, so I never really noticed how little help it is. I only recently noticed after watching a youtube video of an item I hadn't found yet. I was able to see the person's screen, so I could tell exactly where they were standing and I could see their "mini-map"; however, after about 5 minutes of trying to match the "mini-map" to my "full-screen map" I realized how bad the map really is. There are zero distinguishing features or landmarks on the map to get any sort bearings, making communication stressful in multiplayer. The X-axis,Y-axis coordinates aren't very helpful either because I can't figure out how to see them on the "full-screen" map. Building outlines would be a massive improvement. You can be standing in the middle of blighted village and the map looks like you're in a crag or desert. The map issue isn't that big of a deal, but I do hope they are still looking into making it better. Right now it's about as bad as it could really be. another note about the map is that I've probably watched 100 different people play this game on twitch, and 99% of them never realize you can "teleport" from the map. The text does look extremely bland, so it's not obvious that you should even click on the names of the areas in the Waypoint list.
- Second is more of a question or concern. I feel like there is something going on with some of the dice rolls that doesn't make sense. I have the "Weighted Dice" thing toggled off. I'm in a situation right now (spoiler) where I first enter the swamp and roll to break the illusion. Character is a Druid with only 9 Intelligence. When dialogue begins I select the DRUID NATURE option. I have a -1 to the roll from low intelligence, +1d4 from Guidance, and +1d6 from the Bardic Inspiration. Overall I need 15 to succeed. technically 16 because of the intelligence penalty. That's a high roll, but not really with the 2 buffs. anyways... I just spent an entire real-life baseball game(about 3-4 hours) pressing F8 and reloading....., and I have not passed the roll once.
