I would like to perception rolls to happen a bit earlier/further away then they are now.. I find often I don't start rolling until im already stepping on a trap and its super annoying.. and thats EVEN if im stealhting and walking slower.

Does BG3 automatically stop all character movement when you perceive a trap? If not, it should.

The stopping would be awesome. I really like how Pathfinder pauses the game and really highlights the trap.

On the contrary ... it absolutely DOES!

But your roll have to be done "before" you get close enough to those traps. :-/

Perfect example are those exploding flowers in Hag's lair ...
Once you pass your perception check, no matter where you are going, none of your companions will make them explode ... bcs they "know" about them and therefore dont step on them directly.

Sadly (especialy in the swamp) sometimes perception checks for traps are done sooooo late, so you allready stepped on the trap, in the second the game finaly informs you that you knew about it. laugh

Auto-stopping would be great. It would also be neat if the movement system didn't make your party members trigger traps you've already noticed because they're walking around like headless chickens.
