The Blade disappeared out of existence. I offered to have him join my group, but I was full up so he refused. (It would be amazing if we could have an option to send another character out of the group when someone shows up that we would like to join us.) I then asked him to wait in camp, which he agreed to and left the scene, only to never show up in camp.
It seems that something in the grove is immediately hostile to my character, it's either a Druid or an animal, causing me to get into a fight without intending to. I managed to get past it before I realized the issue and don't know what I did to cause the situation, but it also caused the blue bird in Hattie's area to be hostile. I was able to get into that room and close the door but I was forced to kill Hattie before even interacting with her. Then when I left, the druids all went hostile and I ended up having to kill them all.
After the massacre I searched for the Blade, but he wasn't here either.
