I open this post to discuss the possibility that we get new content through DLC.
By new content I mean Spells, Equipment, Enemies and Playable Races.

I think it's too early to explore DLC ideas since we don't really know whats in full game.
What i want to see: Additional companions, new areas with content, expanded classes, races
What i don't want to see: armors/weapons by them selves, new "quirky" pets, or just general "horse armor" kind of content.
But if you want idea, the game could go to Menzoberranzan or some other exotic locales.

I wonder what is the opinion on "dungeon crawler" DLCs like the one in Pathfinder here...

My guess would be...
Small DLC like weapons, armor, smaller quests, a couple new NPCs, etc? Yes. Full blown story expansion? No.

If Larian does DLC at all, it'll be for minor stuff like the bag of tricks in DOS2, which did things like add items that had a slight effect on the game's difficulty (like pots to grow unlimited plants for crafting, especially tea leaves for potions that granted additional AP generation, and pet pal on every character by default without needing to spend a feat on it).
They haven't done paid DLC with actual additional content in a very long time, to the point where a significant portion of the DOS fanbase coming over to this game would probably pull out their pitchforks and accuse them of anti-consumerism if they were to suddenly make paid DLC for this game. At the most, we'll likely see a free Definitive Edition upgrade about a year or two after release, aimed at rebalancing and implementing missing/fleshing out incomplete content for the last third of the game.
(There's also one major reason they probably haven't done paid DLC - it might mess with multiplayer between players who have the theoretical paid DLC and those who don't.)

Personally I don't like DLCs - and by DLCs I mean kind of post release buyable content that has been popular since the term was coined: small, overpriced poorly integrated content addons, that one one hand contain desirable content, but by the nature of being optional end up being disposable.
Personally, if there is one thing I admired about Larian titles is the complete nature of their titles - what you buy is what you get, and what you will ever need. The host of upgrades done after release being available to all existing owners as a for of Definitive Edition upgrade.
If there was paid content, I much prefer for it to be a more traditional expansion - a more pricey package, with more development time, more content and a deeper overhaul of the game. It being one big piece of content allows for added systems to be intertwined with themselves and core game, rather then bunch of unimpactful, optional stuff that can be turned on and off.

Larian didn't do any DLCs with DOS 1 and 2, so I highly doubt they would start with BG3. Which is a part of the reason why I like them so much.
They do content and feature updates, so as far as that goes; I believe they stated that we will be able to change the appearance and class of Origin characters in the full game, so if anything that's the only thing I really wish for to come. Whether it is a vanilla feature or a feature for future updates, I really want it.

Personally, I hope Larian do make such content for BG3, or at least new meaningful stories that fit seamlessly into the game. And (fortunately for my hopes) I don’t think we can extrapolate from the lack of DLC for their other games to what they’ll do for BG3. The amount of investment in the core game is of a whole different scale, so once it’s ready to release it would probably make financial sense to capitalise on this by producing a number of smaller and easier to develop expansions, in parallel with starting planning for BG4 .

We already know that Larian is being forced to shut down ideas for content they want to add to BG3 in order to actually release it one day. Personally I'd be fine if they released DLC later that added in some of that content they weren't able to get in before a reasonable release date.
Ideally, for me, it'd be something like a Character Pack that adds a couple new races and a few new sub-classes from 5e sourcebooks that didn't make it into the base game. Especially if they go crazy with racially divergent stories when they add the legit monster races so that playing a goblin or lizardfolk is significantly different from playing even a Githyanki or Drow.
I definitely wouldn't say no to a full expansion that adds a whole new map and explorable area though.

I wouldn't mind seeing side quests, new races and classes, and a pvp zone.

Cant really imagine how would that work. o_O A new area like an arena, where multiplayer would go in either solo for last person standing or two opposing teams. Would probably need some sort of in game chat to make it work better.

I mean mechanicaly ... You can "make an arena" everywhere you want.

I mean mechanicaly ... You can "make an arena" everywhere you want. If you mean that players can attack each other now then I don't think you can ungroup yourselves properly, players are always considered allies. For example, a cleric couldn't cast Bane on other players and have it actually do anything, and an evocation wizard wouldn't have their spells work on anyone. I could be wrong though, never played multiplayer. I am guessing that characters in stealth also show up for everyone as well. If you mean that the whole world is a potential battleground then I agree. Shrinking the combat area does help a bit to lessen the frustration for players that don't like an extended game of hide and seek. I don't really like cramped arenas without obstacles and other things to use for cover, but some people might expect this sort of thing. Back on topic, I would also add new companion packs to the list, although this would also be nice if it could be done with mods. Maybe new armours, but these should definitely be free for everyone.

Oh .. good point. O_o You cant even attack friendly targets with swipe attack. Anyway ... What kind of story-DLC would you preffer? Presuming there will be any ... Something that happens "after" main story finale? Like Trespasser was for Dragon Age: Inquisition? Or Something that happens "before" main story finale? Like Deep Roads was for Dragon Age: Inquisition? Personaly i dont have any prefference here ... But i heard that second option (before finale) arent very popular, bcs people often gets anoyed that they have to replay the game. O_o

Though I guess stuff that happened before the finale should generally be balanced for late game and be possible to launch by loading a final save so people can experience it without playing the game again. (Even if the final save were a bit of a fudge and is assumed to be taking us back to just before the finale.) And post finale stories would have to take account of a possible BG4. If there isn’t going to be one, then I’d *definitely* want lots of these, but if BG3 were intended to lead straight onto BG4 then I’d happily forgo them.

O_o I would like both!😊 Usually I prefer dlc that happens after the game because I might not replay the game, but that isn’t an issue for me with BG3.
