While in the lizard embassy on the final stages of the A Hunger from Beyond quest, you speak to both the spirit of the dreamer and the spirit of the devourer. The game auto saves mid conversation after you agree to visit the devourer, and then you are transported there. Me and my buddy decided to side with the devourer, which upgraded the armor but destroyed the runes inside. Not a big problem, we'll just reload.
Reloading the last autosave at that mid conversation point broke my character who was in conversation. I am no longer speaking to the dreamer and the fanatic, but cannot interact or be interacted with by anything. I cannot join combat, be damaged, or trigger forced conversations by trespassing or sneaking. My buddy also cannot speak to the dreamer or the fanatic, leading us to believe the game still believes them and I to be in a conversation, despite not. I cannot cast most spells, except for teleport spells, which only serve to place me back at my inital point. I cannot open doors, attack enemies, or speak to anyone. '
TO compound the frustration this is an honor mode playthrough, so there are no other saves to reload instead as honor mode only allows one save file, and we are quite invested in this playthrough having made it to arx.
In the past I had another game-halting glitch, and it was resolved by emailing the save file to supportdos2@larian.com within hours, which was terribly impressive. I will do so after I make this post, so I would appreciate being told if that was all I needed to do or what else I should do. I also understand that with BG3 in the full swing of Early Access there may be a delay in reaching D:OS2 bugs. I will wait patiently.
