Has there been any word on if tempest cleric will be in the game eventually
its in the player handbook after all

Supposed to be all classes and subclasses from PHB, but no word specifically.

its already in the game guys... tempest is one of deity picks
the 3 current sub-classes of cleric are; Light, trickery or Life but there is a data sheet for Tempest so your options are: build a Life Cleric of Tempest now or wait for the EA to end

p.s, as a pure guess, it wouldn't be hard to see the dev team working on Paladin class also adding tempest

To be clear - Tempus is a deity in the forgotten realms, whose primary Domain is the War Domain. The Tempest Domain is something different and is not in the game as of yet, but as others have mentioned, it is a core handbook domain, so Larian have said that it will be in.

Yes it may be added along with Paladin class or it could also be held back until full release to keep some mystery ... With Larian both are equally likely
