It seems that a guru computer WIZARD! ( and he is ) said i
am a power user!! Well I am. I have the latest, the fastest,
the BIGGEST computer outside of a corporation.
Memory by hard drive 200 gig D-k. Exclude E=dvd, f=zip.
L,M,N are Tape, O,P,Q are 500 gig storage. OPQ is where i
am trying to build an rpg game that has everything. Will i
finish it - i doubt it. And we all know my screen is 4ftx
3ft. I am using the latest in sound audigy surround.
You do know i dress up as my character when i play as a
BATTLE MAGE. (see other threads) Well in starting over
because i KNEW i could do better. ( thanks glancealot )
Mototmans thread helped. I LOST MY SOUND!??
Somehow EITHER in a reconfig or a RESTART divinity
shuts down audigy. IE it wont use audgy as my default
sound system. Not only that it stops all sound ( yes
even windows ). SOOOOO We removed the game, Reset Audgiy.
( removed - replaced ) Reinstalled divinity. Found a directx
problem (mine not yours) Works fine EXCEPT none of my saved
games work. LOL I REALLY have to start over. what happens
is the game loads and as soon as it finishes = the
screen goes blank and automaticly exits the game.
Any new game that i start works fine.
Respectfully

When you reinstalled, did you back up your saved games to CD-R? If so, in Windows Explorer, select all of the files in each saved game folder, right click, select properties, and clear the read-only attribute.

Also, check that you installed the latest patch, since games saved under 1.34 are not compatible with the unpatched CD version 1.29.

Damn! I forgot the patch.. I'll try again.
Storage? I have an rpg game in the making. I would
like it to be a game that even if you spent 12 houes a day
trying to play it 5 years may not be enough time.
Would it be like divinity? Absolutly! Quests are a major
incentive of rpg. But i am including alignment.
There are games that allow you to pillage. There was
a very old game (1979) you dodged arrows to catch an
indian maiden. Needless to say what happened on screen
when you caught her. I dont think you will find it on
EBAY. LOL.
Big Screen? Try running divinity at its highest
resolution. Use sterio Surround Sound. Sit 3ft away
from the monitor. THE MOUSE IS A MACE!! YOU ARE THERE!
ORCS IN FRONT OF YOU - IN BACK OF YOU! THEY DONT SEEM
LIKE THEY WANT TO POWWOW. MOMMY!!!

Oh i forgot I also store movies digitally.

I cant remember the year but i think it was in the 90's.
NINTENDO had a contest. The best player (sorry usa wide
i think) would get to play his favorite nintendo game on
diamond vision ( all color ) in times square NYC. In japan
the winner got to play on sanyo's screen in downtown TOKYO.
I belive they were allowed 1 hour of screen time. I know
it was the RAGE in chicago arcades. The computer stores
Comp usa, Office Max, and others were having record sales.
If you think my screen is big Look at theirs! Their screen
is measured in yards or maybe in kilometers!! LOL
VERY RESPECTFULLY

Considering the topic's title, I'm still kind of glad that you can still write. Are you a Lich now, or what ever ?
