Let characters bathe by default during camp: Accumulated dirt and wet/dry blood when in the field could then serve as an indicator that it is time to clean/restore/rest up.

Yes, the problem with the dirt is that it really doesn't seem proportional to spells cast / fights completed / frequent trudger miles etc. - the same is true about the characters whining about needing to camp. Having options for both of those doesn't seem to hard, and would be a plus for me.
