I found it curious that it is a part that Larian mostly abandoned after D:OS1 - it was rudamentary, to be sure, but an ability to have a conversation between coop players and arguing how to complete a quest was an interesting fit when it comes for bringing singleplayers style questing into Coop. I don't remember having that in D:OS2 - perhaps there are some instances, like letting your coop player ascend. but In my shortish experience I didn't run into those.

I can't say, I would want Larian to pay even more attention to Coop then they already are for Baldur's Gate3 specifically, but otherwise, I think I would be interested in seeing them double down on coop, rather then trying this hybrid-thingy they started with D:OS2. After all, coop has been the feature that's been making their games stand out from the pack.

I liked D:OS1 well enough and that conversation system, even though I only ever played single player, was quite cool. I'd respect if, after BG3 Larian did go deeper into that, iterating and pushing the envelope in that direction. I wouldn't be interested in it, but I'm always gonna support experimentation like that.

I would assume that they focus on this a bit less because a number of people communicate with other players through Discord, Steam Chat, or such as myself in person. It kind of makes the communication systems redundant (in my opinion).

What I would love to have though is a limited number of Emotes, including things like dancing. There doesn't really need to be a specific reason to be able to emote, but for me just being able to make my friends laugh with an unexpected dance on the 5th turn of a fight, is precious.

Onward Quercus! We must find a new Shield!

Curently when you create custom party using "multiplayer" ... your characters can talk to each other on key moments ...

Personaly, i hate it.

Not just bcs it overwrites any potential conversation with your companions, effectively ruining any chance to get la ... i mean, make a friend ...
But also for that reason its completely void and meeningless ... bcs your "pc" characters can only state one of two offered opinions ... if you all agree, your party leader states that you all are in agreement ... if not, your party leader states, that theres no point in keep talking about it now.

Feel free to find me ignorant, but i see no purpose in this. :-/
