Here is a
link for a zip file with the differences between the Steam 1.506 version and GOG 1.500 version, minus configuration files and some small data files (1 or 2 KB) that are likely system/setting dependent.
The 4 files in the root of the zip file are the same ones in the English 1.506 update patch, and just replacing those files is enough to fix the issue with the books (as well being able to change the hero's name in character creation, which another person reported).
There were some different/extra files in the Steam version data, as well, which I included in the relevant subfolders. I'm not sure if they are necessary, or what the actual differences are, but it it is probably safer to have them. Extract the zip file into the BD install folder, overwriting the originals, or open the zip file and manually copy the files over.
