I'm sure these are known, but in the Nere fight, I sided with the rebel duergar and had to reload twice because of unexpected hostility.
1) First, one of the rescued gnomes ran through the fire caused by the smokepowder, taking damage and causing everyone in the room to go hostile.
2) After that, I reloaded, went in to turn mode immediately after blowing up the rubble, and spent a spell slot to create water before he could run across, and started the fight. Midway through the fight, Lae'zel disarmed Sergeant Thrin, but when she tried to pick up Thrin's weapons, all the enslaved gnomes went hostile to my party. I didn't think deep gnomes were lawful as a rule, but even if they are, joining a fight on behalf of their enslavers' property rights seems a little extreme.
