OP Crimsomrider veteran Joined: Jun 2022	A hotfix has been deployed to fix this. This thread is now irrelevant. The new patch has an issue with the launcher throwing up errors and asking to download a MIcrosoft Net whatever, however installing it does not fix it. To fix it go to; ...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\DotNetCore Reinstall windowsdesktop-runtime-6.0.11-win-x64 And that's it. Launcher will work properly then. Posting this here in General so people can see and spread the message.

froglord stranger F Joined: Dec 2022	Hey! Thanks a lot for this. Do you perhaps have any idea how to fix this issue on the Steam Deck? The launcher is giving the same error and no idea how to go around it haha.

OP Crimsomrider veteran Joined: Jun 2022	Unfortunately no as I don't own a Steam deck. If Steam deck can access the exe directly you can bypass the launcher, but otherwise you might just need to wait for them to officially fix it.

OP Crimsomrider veteran Joined: Jun 2022	I just got a 1MB update on Steam, might be a hotfix for this. Check your GOG if you haven't already. EDIT: Confirmed by Raze from Support that it is indeed a hotfix. Have fun everyone!

Aznerot stranger A Joined: Sep 2022	However if you launch the game by clicking the bg3.exe in the Bin subfolder of the game, it will start without the launcher.
