This is happening on many objects that are thrown. It seems like the damage that the object is supposed to cause is instead redirected back to the original thrower. It's happening on all characters. Serves me right for trying to play patch 9 right away. Knew it was just going to be unpaid bug testing eek

You may have missed the fact that Baldur's Gate 3 is in Early access.

"Only buy the game now if you’d like an early look, or if you want to participate in community feedback ahead of the full launch. Otherwise, we suggest you wait until version 1.0 releases – that way, you’ll be able to enjoy the full story of Baldur’s Gate 3 along with all of the playable classes, races, skills and spells that will be included in the full game – and you’ll get less of the bugs.”

If you didn't want so many bugs you should have waited until August.

That is such a very lame excuise/reply. They said they have been working on this game for FIVE years (not just the 2 we have had for early access) so these lame bugs are truely rediulous. Especially when they don't even seem to be fixing them. They just give us the Paladin and level 5 and some more new bugs. I have so far seen only ONE bug that was fixed. You can now grab all the items on the table on the rioght on the helm of the Nautaloid. BUT, now you CAN'T grab 2 other items that are on another table on the helm of the Nautaloid. GREAT job "fixing things" you guys. Your awesome! LOL!

I noticed that too lol grin

The two items, the Void bulb and the shell worth 25g on the top right level at the helm cannot be grabbed any longer. But they were before. And the one that was not able to be looted is lootable now. Made me laugh ^^

Also previously we were able to work around this by throwing the item instead, but that does not work too anymore.

Tell me you know nothing about game development without saying you know nothing about game development:

You might want to check the history of patch notes if you think they've only fixed one bug in Early Access.
You might also want to check what Early Access is.

Well you got to admit if your 40+ yrs old… throwing items can injure you pretty badly lol they are just trying to add some realism laugh

But seriously, I have seen this too… didn’t link it to throwing. But IIRC it was my Paladin throwing a javelin…

I am saying that so far from what I've seen it LOOKS like they have only fixed that ONE thing since last patch. Not that they have only fixed ONE thing entirely in ALL of early access. And as for "what early access is"?? LOL. I know early access is to point out bugs and find out what's wrong. It is ALSO to actually FIX them. At least that's what impression I got. Am I wrong? Is it NOT the reason we point them out? I mean wtf is the point of pointing them out if they are NOT going to actually bother fixing them? Do they just want to know how misserably they are failing at trying to make something? LOL. You're funny whoever you are.

The patch has just dropped, in order to gather data on the new bugs the devs should search the forums for reports and recreate every situation in a great detail, find the root cause and then fix it. But they won't release a new patch for every bug they fix, because:
- putting the patch out there ASAP may cause new unpredictable bugs when merged with the following patches
- it cripples efficiency, because putting the patch out there also takes time. Better to fix a good bunch of them and then release as a bundle

NEW bugs? LOL. They can't even fix the old ones. Are you seriously even listening? "Putting the patch out there ASAP"??? LMAO. It's been MONTHS my dear, there is nothing ASAP about it. Your a stand up comic aren't you?
