Hi

The new big patch is out with new content, bugfixes, ecc... but... here is a bad surprise: a optimization problem that has appear recently.

My optimization problem is a annoying stutter anytime someone or my Tav cast a new spell and make a new animation, the game simply freeze for like 0,3-0,5 seconds and after the animation is "complete" all runs fine until a new animation is starting.

A similar issue happen also when i freelook around the map in new zones or in the infamous Druid Zone.

Also i see that in the conversations, often the texture doesn't load immediately but they take like 4-5 seconds to load also if the game is running on a NVMe SSD drive.

I love that game now loads in 20 seconds instead in 5 minutes like on HDD, but this suttering when someone cast a new spell (spell that have just casted one time doesn't make the game stutter) is annoying..

I have tried all solution possible (also cleaning the cache, temporary files, change the settings, ecc...) but nothing has fixed the issue.

My PC is not a powerhouse but is not also a potato:

It's a Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a RX 5700 XT 8 GB, running on a 2560x1440 75 Hz monitor. Also the game is running on a NVMe SSD with like 2500-2000 Mb/s.
My game settings are a mix of High and Low with FSR activated.

I was just in the crypt with a Sorcerer. Spells began to stutter, then my game turn into a slideshow.
I have a Ryzen 5 3600XT - 16GB and a RTX3070. My GPU use was through the roof.
But having the same CPU as you, it could be linked to the new IA ?
Anyway the game began unplayable.

I don't know.. but reading somewhere i think it's a game problem regarding the Shader Compilation. Also beacause for me happen only the first time that i cast the spell: if i cast the spell a second time or a another spell with the same animation, the stutter is gone until i close the game.

I have also experienced stutter when casting some spells but also at sudden intervals, freezing: game screen freezes completely for about 6 seconds before running smoothly again. I did not have this with previous patch, but it can't be that widespread, othewise more people woudl have complained? I also have RTX 3070, 16 GB, but intel i7. I have tried using fullscreen vs fake fullscreen, bvut haven't turned trn graphics settings yet.

Also they need to seriously fix the Druid Zone fps drop issue: sometimes in that zone i go from 65-70 fps to 45-49 fps for what? for that 2-3 green special effect? Yes if i activate the FSR that fps drop is gone but the image quality drastically became worse (a solution for that exist and is called "FSR 2.1", the game now have only the janky and old FSR 1.0 which sucks in terms of image quality).

Other than this problem of stuttering which doesn't matter which graphic settings you use, the game will ever stutter when you cast a new spell. And i don't think it's a GPU or CPU problem if also with the lowest settings this problem occur. And also not a SSD/HDD problem if the problem persist also on a fastest NVMe SSD.

It's like a engine game problem and certain something of fixable, but the question is: are they really aware of this problem?

Try an other fight, each time entering combat : frames freeze, animation and/or sound skip. It did well on the nautiloid and i haven't change anything since patch 8.
It's just unplayable frown
