I'm loving BG3 so far, and appreciate that you're taking the time necessary instead of rushing it.

I love sword and shield, it makes me feel like the traditional saintly Knight who swoops in to save the day. However I don't like the way that shields disappear when you put them on your back or that one handed weapons aren't sheathed at the hip.

Please could you consider looking into making these changes? Shields staying on the back and weapons on the hip would feel alot more immersive and pleasing.

But never enough respondents to have any statistical value.

Good news tho is that it will be most certainly possible for Moders ... Chubblot allready managed to get his Rapier on hip.

I have seen many posts about this topic, and it's quite a simple request as well. I would hope that they do this as they had the feature in DOS 2

You see, i was involved in "many" of those topics around here ... and it allways puzzled me that so "many" people requested for curent system to be canceled, deleted, casted into the void and forgotten for the rest of eternity. O_o
While they both could so easily exist simultaneously. O_o

And dont even let me start about their argu... no i just cant call it honestly any other way than excuses. :-/

Having shield appear at. The back would be very welcome. Having weapons at the hip, like a normal person, would be even better.

+1 Its always jarring after a fight that my shield disappears. The shield helps fulfill the armored-up tank fantasy and having only my sword at the back makes me look like I'm a two-handed fighter

Agree on the shield part, not the sword.

Sword on the back is fine. Clipping though, needs fixing.

Sure having two handed weapons on the back is fine but I am so over this all the weapons on character's backs in these kind of games, it's basically a computer RPG trope at this point.

It would be best if there was a setting in the options where you can choose whether the (one-handed) weapons are displayed on the hip or on the back. I would appreciate it!

Yes. I second this. I'm also a sword and board guy and I sling my shield on my back with my sword on my hip. (I've also animated this for weapons and shields in Second Life and understand that we're asking for a lot of work for a minor visual tweak.)
