I get it. I get why it was nerfed in BG3. Multi attack with 2d6+4 and 1d8+4 attacks at level 2 would probably one shot every goblin and then some. However doing 6-12 damage per attack at level 2 all the way thru 5 is just... wow. I feel like I have no impact in my parties combat on my druid. Rangers pet bear is over here able to taunt just like me, but the ranger can follow it up with big damage.
The most damaging wildshapes aren't even moon druid exclusive. Wolf form does more damage than bear, for some reason.
So I guess I'd just really like it if either they buffed damage in wildshape bear a bit, or better yet, I'd be okay with moving wildshape bear from level 2 to level 4, so that it can have a proper buff and we don't have to feel so useless during levels 4 and 5. Wolf and spider form are good enough to get us thru 2 and 3.
Honestly, in their current states, I prefer Wolf form over bear form which feels sad to say. But Wolf form has exposing bite which can guarantee a crit for an ally. Bear forms 11 extra health honestly can't compare, in my opinion.
Level 5 beastmaster rangers pet bear having better stats and more utility than our bear wildshape was also disheartening to see as well. Praying that our future wildshapes aren't as over-nerfed as bear form is from its 5e counterpart.
