More testing is warranted, but from what I can tell, the Darkness spell blocks Wyll’s line of sight, even with the Devil’s Sight invocation. Wyll doesn’t become blinded in the Darkness, which is as expected, but can’t make any ranged attacks into or out of Darkness because “path is interrupted”. I’m fairly sure Wyll used to be able to do that.

is that a bug or did they just fix the spell to block range attacks as it should?

Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it.

Devil’s Sight says you can see in magical darkness. Intuitively, if I can see you, I can shoot you. I get why it works that way for everyone else, but it feels as though Wyll should be completely unaffected by Darkness.

If this is working as intended, then I suggest updating the Devil’s Sight tooltip.

I’m not sure that this is new. I thought I’d seen the same behaviour in an earlier patch, which is why I tend not to bother with Devil Sight, but may have been mistaken or misremembered.

Totally agree though that the description makes it sound as though a character with Devil Sight should be unaffected by Darkness, and that if this isn’t what is intended the description should be updated.
