When destroying any war drum in the chapel of Selune a dialogue with Dror Ragzlin starts where he initiates a fight.
Happened to me with several war drums, even if I was sneaking an no one was around.

Is this intendend?

And Goblins that are in different room ... out of building ... hells, even far from that building (by the gate) ... will know when Dror Ragzlin is killed ... also telepaticly as it seems.

Not sure if intended, but i certainly hope not. :-/

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

I've noticed that too, but I thought this happens, because the goblins lose their leader. So they get feral again and attack everybody like before the Absolute came.

Did this happen to you even if you killed Dror Ragzlin first?
I've always killed him last so I thought that was the reason why they get hostile.

Yup even if he get killed first.

And it would be a good explanation, IF there would be any way for those outside to even know. laugh
But if you manage to destroy all drums in time, so there is no alert? Dunno ... i just dont buy it. frown

Well, something does need to be done concerning the reactivity in the temple, it was ridiculous. One could simply pick the bosses off one at a time, entirely immersion breaking. For God's sake, they're present in adjoining rooms, can't some of the goblins call for help or something.

I really dislike how close the rooms are, especially because sometimes you can pull multiple chambers by moving around or an NPC passively on patrol.

It also doesn't help the story and immersion that Minthara is on the other side of the wall and you're on the rafters throwing out spells and yelling verbal components and hearing Goblin death screams.

I think that's what the war drums are here for, the enemies try to use them if any are nearby.

In my opinion it is fine as it is, but I can understand that it's a bit ridiculous how NPC's won't notice some things.
There is the problem with balancing too. If the range where this is noticed would be increased, many places will be much harder as the levels are probably designed with the current range in mind.

Such things are a bit hard for developers, because there will be always a group of people who won't be satisfied with how things are or will be. (I wouldn't want to be in their position.)
In my opinion changes on this part aren't that important and I wouldn't have a problem with it, if it stays as it is.

This is a change. You used to be able to take out the drums with out causing an uproar (sneaking and out of sight).

It is a clear bug. Astarion managed to sneak on a war drum and interacted with it (he did not even tear it). Then there was that cut scene with the goblin leader. But the goblins did not turn hostile. They did turn hostile when I killed Mr. Ragzlin (but not when I killed Minthara).
