Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Will we get Duergar in full release?

Will we be getting Duergar (Deep Dwarfs) in full release? We have Drow (in the PHB) and we even have Deep Gnomes (NOT in the PHB) for some reason, but no Duergar. Why not?
Does anyone know these answers?

They are in the game now so I'd expect someone to mod them as playable... Your guess is as good as anyone else's but dwarf is already a playable class so I don't see Larian stepping back from their deadline commitment to add them now

It's already been FIVE years and this mess is what we get until "August". LMAO. Have you checked out their other games? I did while I was waiting for patch 9 to release. They STILL haven't finished those games yet. People STILL can't finish Their first game Day of Divinity Enhanced Edition. LOL. How many years has THAT game been out? What a joke! And some of you complain because I complain about THIS game being so messed up? I don't know how many people they actually have working on their stuff but they clearly don't have enough. And the ones that are working don't really seem to know what they are doing to well. Seriously? FIVE years for THIS mess? How many years for that other game people STILL can't finish? WOW Larian. You're top notch! In case you can't tell I have seriously lost faith in you. Lol

More stuff is always good. But yes I'm afraid that the release in August will not be met or the release will be, as it once someone else, in another thread, so beautifully formulated only a Patch 10 aka Beta 1.0 just extended to the fully accessible game content.

That's basically Larian model anyway. They always overpromise and underdeliver because they waste time adding meaningless fluff.

They've already reneged on all classes being in EA by not having time to roll out Monk.

Their full releases are full of bugs and broken features that take a while to fix and then their Definitive or Enhanced Editions ~2 years later are the real working game.

Anyone expecting to play BG3 on release date and have a smooth experience is delusional.

LOL. Have you read any of the forums of their other games? I decided to take a look while I was waiting for patch 9. On the Day of Divinity Enhanced Edition forum the first two post were complaints that people can't even finish the game even SEVERAL years after it's release. This company is a joke. They can't make a finished project. Good luck with BG3!

Oh, come on. Please don’t turn so many threads into rants about Larian. It may be fun for you but I think it’s just irritating and a bit boring for many of us. I know I’d prefer it if we could talk about the specific topic of the threads rather than have them degenerate into general moaning.

But seriously, yes even if it were objectively true that Larian were a joke and couldn’t finish the game, it would bother me if the same or similar statement was brought up in multiple threads whether or not it were relevant to the topic or helped move the discussion in that thread along.
