So I was looking at the bug list and how to try to fix audio issues and I wanted to note that the following from the debug description Did work for me.
Try right clicking the bg3.exe or bg3_dx11.exe executable (in the '..\SteamApps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin' folder, or similarly for the GOG install folder), select Properties, switch to the Compatibility tab and check off the 'Override high DPI scaling behavior' option (set it to Application), run as administrator and disable fullscreen optimization, and maybe set a Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode. In Windows 7, check off the option to 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings', disable desktop composition and run as administrator.
I would also like to note (because I don't know if anyone has) that I recently switch to Windows 11 because I got a message from Microsoft saying this was the last time it was going to be a free upgrade and soon it would have a price, so I felt forced into getting Windows 11 upgrade. This problem did Not exist before switching to Windows 11. However, when Patch 9 first came out I did Not have this problem. I played for a few days with no issues. Tonight I log in and suddenly the audio issues are here. Interestingly enough though I am having the Exact same issue with Warframe... complete audio Except voices when using a headset but everything is fine when using speakers. Problem is that late at night (it is currently 12/30/2022 at 2:39am) my grandson is sleeping behind me so I Have to use my headset at times like this. I often only get to play this late at night.
I think the problem is with Windows 11 audio driver but after Windows updated the driver the problem stayed so replacing the windows driver with the same windows driver does no good. Just fyi. I Am using Windows 8 compatibility.
