PC (GOG) - Hotfix #30, system spec is in my signature - I am not using GOG Galaxy to launch the game, nor am I using the Larian launcher, I just launch the game using BG3.exe. - No mods in use.

Honestly .. Patch #9 and Hotfix #30 have been the worst updates so far, its like every patch to No Man's Sky which fixes a bunch of issues but takes a backwards step of ruining an equal bunch of previously fixed issues, and your game is not procedural :

See this video https://i.imgur.com/vPVMDll.mp4

I have just entered the Underdark, via the awkward jump from the Hags caverns and the second illusion door.

I think I have been attacked with a Bullette, but all I can see is a mound of earth which seems to be having a minor earth quake, and so my main NPC in the group has been knocked down .. And I can not continue.

I wish you guys had some more time to solve post patch issues prior to the Xmas/New year holidays.

Kraken Rum is helping.

I know there are ways around this issue, but the amount of issues being seen since Patch #9 and Hotfix #30 seems .. shoddy. Like you guys couldn't be arsed checking things out before the holidays, or maybe your QA team need a bit more incentive to do the job properly, like threaten them with being given the sack from their comfortable job. We dont need a downgrade in quality control so near to the last leg of the journey before the August release. Kick arse Larian, and get your team to sit up and listen.

I'm a relatively new stranger here, but have bought and been following the development of BG3 since it went public with the Early access, love the game and its vision, but recently the team seem to be getting a bit less focussed. You need to sharpen things up a bit.

When the Bulette appears, the game usually puts you into turn-based mode. Do you have the option to end your current turn, which should move things along? (If that's it, I think it's to give any of your characters not knocked down the opportunity to position themselves before battle starts, which is good. But it confused me the first time I came across it and I do think the game should make it clearer what's happening. )

In terms of the general quality of patch 9, as is usual with software some bugs have been fixed but adding new features introduces new ones. I think it's ... shall we say, uncharitable ... to assume that Larian's QA team are not doing their job properly rather than that they have done the best job possible given the time and resources they've had available. Given it's early access, it feels reasonable for Larian to prioritise getting new features to players for comment and feedback as early as possible over making sure everything works perfectly. And because this is planned to be the last major patch, any additional resources spent on QA for early access would surely have a knock on impact on the release date or quality of the full release and, as long as Larian hotfix any showstopper bugs, I personally am perfectly okay with them focusing on achieving the August release date.

I just reloaded the save before this happened, and yes you are right in thinking I can end the turn before the next round where everyone in the party now gets the opportunity to have a poke at the Bulette .. But also yes its confusing that we seem to be left in a position that has no enemy to target, and a main character downed.

Thats .. an entirely more reasonable set of assumptions than I had after drinking a New Years bottle of Kraken rum smile
I think I was a bit unfair, and maybe should put the keyboard away until sober.

Thanks The_Red_Queen for your fair assessment.

Happy New Year to all.
