Right now we press T and it enters inspection mode, however in Pathfinder you simply right click on a spell/item/ability and it brings up a really clean overview scroll which details everything about the item you clicked on, and the ability to hover over keywords to see what they mean.

I think this should be a stable in any cRPG and I really believe BG3 could benefit from this. It's much more intuitive, slicker and quicker then our current implementation.

Yeah, I don't get why inspect has it's own, unintuitive shortcut.

I also don't get why you can inspect a creature and magically know everything about it ... weaknesses, hp, Ac etc etc that should require some sort of (high) skill check? Unless they have changed this? One of teh nice things about D&D is the unknown and having to figure out through lore/experience how to tackle various creatures - handing that out for free is crazy.

This, you don't even get what it does, you first think 'is this a bug? is this just because early access', then eventually it clicks and you understand how to use it.

You know how long it takes for players to know how to inspect in Pathfinder? Instantly.

BG3 is great, but it isn't perfect.

Unless you read a book, that is a bestiary and that book mentions that entity, inspecting an enemy should require a very high DC- unless your tav is an inquisiter, loremaster or has a lore proficiency due to class picked. Eg:

Druid: knows most beasts, fey, Plants, and nymphs/ hags as they are opposing entities
Warlock: demons, others, ethereal
Paladin: devils, daemons, undead
Wizard / witch: elemental, celestial
Rogue / Fighter: orc, gnome, human, goblin
Hunter: giant, ooze, ogre, beast
Blood hunter: aberration, demon, fiend
Sorcerer: magic creatures, dragons, fey.

The above would be my recommendation. Mostly took it from my understanding of lore
