OK guys I am just after a confirmation of whether this i right / has been reported as an issue before / or should be reported :

Screenshots - First three are just to give the scenario ..

Ok now as you can see, I have Tav as group leader selected, and go to trade with Derryth Bonecloak (or any trader really)

Then while on the Trade screen ..

.. I click Lae'zel at the bottom left. So now I have Lae'zel trading with Derryth Bonecloak.
Issue = When I hover my mouse over Lae'zel's Heavy Crossbow, which she is Proficient at using, the pop-up info window says Not proficient, and also will encumber Tav

Now I know this means that Tav is not proficient with that weapon, and it would encumber him, but why is that relevant if I now have Lae'zel in a trade and no longer have Tav in the trade ???

Does this make sense or have a reason why it is this way, or is it a bug and has been reported / needs reporting?

It's been the case for a long while that the equipment comparisons in trading screens are for the character that initiates the dialogue, rather than the currently selected one. I agree the latter would be more helpful.

I can't imagine Larian aren't aware of this being the way their system works, but I'm not aware that they have said they're going to change it and it's not something I think I've ever provided direct feedback on myself.

Unless someone else here has, it maybe couldn't hurt to report it and see what Larian support say about whether a change is planned for full release.

Going to report it and see, I can kind of see how it would be relevant if just throwing items between the group then the leader would be relevant to see if any other party members have equipement that is compatible with him/her/whoever is initially chosen as leader, it just does not make sense as being relevant in any way in the trading screen.

Will post again if there is any response from Larian everyone would appreciate.

be aware tht when you select a different character any trade is still going to them i.e, they get the money and they sell at their charisma level which normally means you pay more for the item unless its Wyll

yes it can be a shit... scrolls are hard enought to track

No reply yet, but its the weekend so expecting a delay. Although out of five reports sent in the last 4 days I have had good responses to 4 of them, the latest was today which surprised me on a Sunday (not just the boilerplate auto response, but actual acknowledgements). Dedicated.

Got a reply back from Larian

"Thank you for your detailed report and follow up information, this issue is known and should be fixed for release."

I have the same issue. but it isn't just in trading screen. It is any time I am looking at items in an inventory.
