Just finished my Paladin playthrough to try out Patch 9. Pretty good; I've always found Paladins to be very limiting from an RP perspective, but it's well-executed. Have to try out the 'oathbreaker' option at some point.
So as soon as I hit Level 5 and tried out a fireball, well, that was pretty awesome. But it brought me back to an interface issue that keeps bugging me, and that's the limited control over the vertical axis: In a game with SO MUCH 3-dimensional stuff, puzzles with solutions up high or down low, combat fought over multiple floors, etc., I've had difficulty on several occasions trying to maneuver the camera to see what I'm trying to see. And with the fireball...the AOE should be spherical, but I'm not sure it is, and there should be more y-axis control over where you're aiming. I fired into a group of enemies where one of them on a second-level structure, and I got lucky in the sense that the structure was destroyed and the fall took out the elevated enemy (which, well, as I said - AWESOME), but by all rights I should have been able to target that fireball in a way to naturally encompass enemies on both levels.
