Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Speak With Animals Broken?

Not sure if this is a general issue or just my current playthrough but both the spell and potion are not allowing me to interact with the animals in the Grove despite having the portrait icon indicating the effect is applied.

without knowing which animals i see two possible causes:
1. you have a bug, try save, restart the sytem | and load that save
2. the animals don't want to talk to you, for example some of the mice will not talk to you because they are bussy... some are pets that only want to talk to their own druid and if you have been charming | nicking things then some will just not want to be involved with you

my personal fav is the bear talking to Volo... i mean this human has 10 potions of animal talking yet pretends to not understand?

Well wildheart barbarian's speak with animals are sometimes not working at all, and its not matter what kind of animal do you want to talk.
