Yea Yea,

I know this has been brought up over the years of EA,

shit did I just say YEARS...

any how. decided to play for shits and grins and for @#$# sake please fix this camera before launch,

Im glad we've had multiple hot bar changes and a number of other things but damn you would think the camera would be a no brainer.

So what is the problem you ask.

1. cant look around.

2. the camera will not follow my lead character. I end up having to save game and re load, very annoying.

also to touch on #1 again. why is it most times all I can do is look at the ground let alone straight ahead or up and around.

please for the love of god, change the camera format to be more like, dark souls or dnd (dungeons and dragons online) mouse look its so easy. W to move and the mouse to look around its so freakin simple, its insane every game made should be using this.

DRAGON FIRE-AND DOOM Dragons? Splendid things, lad-so long as ye look upon them only in tapestries, or in the masks worn at revels, or from about three realms off...

True. The camera sucks. I was standing under the bridge in Goblin Camp yesterday and wanted to unhurriedly explore the stuff there and every time the camera switches to the surface of the bridge and blocks my view...

That does sound annoying,

For me its just every where, the underdark, the surface area, walking and wanting to (for me its natural as a human being ) to look around. Hell I would be happy if I could at least lift my field of vison a few degree above straight forward. I dont need to look straight up above my head.

I really hope this will be fixed.

To get the camera to follow your main character again, you can double click on their portrait. Unless you are talking about another issue with it.

This is one of the most frustrating parts of the game for me. Especially considering they brag about the verticality of the game, but we are stuck with broken necks and can't look up. Sadly I doubt they will fix this, all we can hope for will be a mod most likely.

Hey! I know the camera controls and movement is something that comes up very often and I have passed this feedback to the team. In particular about your post, are you able to look around by pressing the middle button in your mouse and dragging?

Hello!

thanks for checking in, Happy Valentines day.

I am unable to use my middle button and drag, I don't see a setting for this either.

ok after further investigation , I can use the center button to scroll in and out while pressing E or Q.

But thats not really the same as mouse look.

Love that game just finished a two weapon ranger.

+10000000! I created an account to make this exact suggestion. Hope Larian implements exactly this.

Finally decided to try out BG3 a few days ago.

In my first hours of play, I stopped counting the number of times the camera caused problems. The non-intuitive camera controls can break immersion and at worst cause frustration. Made me feel like I was wearing a cardbord box armor.

Example: obstructed view in encounters, namely when surprising indoor enemies from an outdoor location. No amount of camera rotation fixes this. This can occur in the first 15 minutes (first encounter with imps). A similar problem will also occur often when walls or any sort of elevation is present (cliffs, etc.).
