I've run through Patch 9 three times now. First time petered out because my party was too weak. Second time, I got to Grymforge and decided to make a new character because I wanted to try some things differently. Third time, I believe I played all the content and finished to the "you have reached the end" message.
*** Minor Spoilers ***
First, the story, 5e implementation, and technical stuff (art, animation, sound, etc.) are great. No complaints there. But I have a few notes:
1. The camera control felt very restrictive, claustrophobic even. I regularly could not see from the character I was controlling to his/her target. A first person camera would help a lot here. I'd like a little more freedom with the top down (O) camera too... hide whatever that character can't detect, but let me move the camera freely.
2. Some enemies cheat in "turn" mode. For example the arcane cannons. If you end your turn in view of a cannon, it keeps firing while the other characters take their turns and the unfortunate character who didn't have enough movement is inevitably dead before his/her next turn. The trap in the tomb under the chapel does this too, firing after each character's turn.
3. I feel like the player's character needs to be pretty tanky for the party to be strong enough. I started with a wizard and using Shadowheart as a tank did not work well. Subsequently, my characters were a fighter and a paladin and those parties were very capable. This may just be a combination of learning curve and my comfort zone (tank) rather than a real issue. I should try again with a wizard now that I'm past the learning curve.
Looking forward to the full game.
