Lava elementals can leave lava where they walk and they can cast "melt the earth" to force more lava to spawn at their feet.
First of all, the biggest glaring issue is the balance. The amount they are healing for is their entire health bar per turn, but they can cast it once per turn. Do they cast it once per turn all of the time? I don't know. I'm currently busy exploiting the game. But that's an issue of balance and not the main point of this post.
The actual issue; when an elemental walks they leave behind pools of lava and when you mouse over them you can see that they have a duration of a number of turns. I believe it is 10 turns, but when I can mouseover on my turn it says 9. Semantics, but I thought I'd bring that up before moving on to the bug part. When the elemental casts "melt the earth" and it creates a lava point at its feet, the duration is 10 turns. (or 9, or whatever) But then ALLLLL of his lava that he has generated, from walking, or casting melt the earth, all reset to 10. Essentially this is an infinite amount of lava over and infinitely spanning surface area if you were to kite him around and he were to cast it once per turn.
I don't know if it's only reseting the timer on the lava that is touching the lava he places down with his cast, but that's pretty much impossible to determine because it follows him around everywhere anyways.
Key notes: I'm currently exploiting the hide system, which I will be bug reporting later, even if it's not a bug, I need to get deeper into the game to determine it's extent and what is wrong with it at a more mechanical level..
