Every enemy just superman jumps over CC spells and terrains (or some cantrip just burns down the CC spells, like plant growth, entangle, spike growth, grease or whatever... )
CC spells are easily destroyed and even nerfed to begin with. Many enemies just superman jumps over it all. Why make JUMPING such a huge part of combat? It's a kind of ridiculous thing to over-emphasize to begin with, isn't it?

A similar subject was discussed just over a week ago in https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=846201. It’s actually in the same thread I linked to in response to your other recent post about sleet storm and other control spells.

I must say, I returned to Solasta’s DLC and had some great fun with spike growth. While I do sometime feel the lack of manual jump button, so I can better control where I want my units to jump down from, having a set paths up open some actual tactics.

BG3 is so open that the battlefield get extremely chaotic and one can’t really make a plan beyond their current move.

For a lot of these spells, some lack of utility comes from their lack of implementation in 3-D space. They're simply surfaces in BG3. Meaning, if units wanted to bunny-hop out of them, they'd need to bunny-hop through difficult terrain. Not that fixing this would fix these spells, as Larian's fundamental design seeks to make them less useful at every turn. They all seem a casualty of making the Strength attribute 'more useful' and Larian's love of fire and explosions.

Exactly. Even the jumps "over" difficult terrain should be impaired with half movement. Also... I mean... you can bonus action jump and run and actually get further in combat. Kinda silly. How often to people jump around in actual combats?

Unironically want this as a Super Mario RPG sequel now.
