Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems the game doesnt start

when i open the game it crash, i tried opening the game from the EoCApp.exe, but only creates a CrashDump.dmp file, i tried every thing i saw in the internet but nothing works, if anyone can help i will be so happy, 3 months ago i was able to play i dont know what happend.

I've got a similar problem.

Game version is 3.0.226.993. My PC has a Ryzen5 2600X, Asus RX 6600 XT, MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, Windows 10. I own the GOG version of the game.

I read through the technical support thread and tried out those tips, but none helped.

When I start regularly (with the launcher) the Definitive Edition the launcher starts, goes half way through and then just crashes to the desktop. No message displayed. When I choose the DoS 2 (Classic) version the game runs perfectly.

Using the EoCApp.exe workaround didn't help either - crash.

I own the game for a couple of years and it used to be playable with no problems at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

The solution to my problem seems to came from the user Linyao (in this same threat title is: - Definitive Edition - Crash on Launch Classic okay) , who pointed me to the nvcuda64.dll. I recently switched from a NVidea to an Radeon GPU and it seems, the nvcuda64.dll wasn't properly deleted when uninstalling the nvidea drivers. After deleting the nvcuda64.dll everything was running fine.
