I'd like access to the inventory of all companions in camp. Whether they're in the party or not. Just makes things easier.

Yep, this is definitely something that’s come up a number of times and I agree.

the issue is a code one and the fact characters keep their gear when they die = making a 'camp' everything buttion would bug out... not that i assume thats why Larian hasn't done it , just saying the way their code works would give that result

having a way to swap items between characters at camp is what most people want and the block there is multiplayer i.e, lag but that is simple enough to work around and i would assume mods after release if Larian doesn't do it them selves

Ah, man. I'd settle for clicking a character and opening a sort of trading window.

Hey guys, that would be great.
Imho, the whole management of ones party feels cumbersum.
I would even prefer to have a shared inventory all the time since that would solve many of the pet peeves i have with BG3s inventory management.
