I am aware of the danger this spell poses in table top rpgs, as I made the mistake of volunteering as a one time DM for a one shot dungeon, and allowing this spell to drop in the form of a single use scroll. The result was the team transforming into a CR 24 ancient gold dragons for the duration of 24 hrs, and them slaughtering everything meant for 8 hrs in about 1.

In a video game, it's use could be theoretically limited, however that is a minor concern. Wish allows one to cure vampirism, almost all curses, destroy entire cities with plagues or firestorm, planner travel, grant infinite gold / magic items, kill final boss, summon armies of creatures... as it does anything up to spell lvl 9, that is almost mythic level power. My question to you all, in bg3, is there any realm where this spell doesn't destroy the game? Can it be justified?
